Na-Thing.

We don’t exist. Our work does.

Every name begins as nothing. Ours simply stayed there a little longer.

I looked for it until sleep found me first. What the night returned was not a name, but the word for its absence: Nothing.

It was the truest word I had. The four I would work with take up no room. They cannot be met, only read. They are present in what they leave behind, and nowhere else.

But even Nothing belonged to someone. So I changed a single letter, and left everything else alone.

Say it aloud, and nothing has changed. Read it in Korean, and it says 내 것. Mine.

Most of what is yours began as nothing. The difference is never more than one letter, and never less.

Four who aren’t there. A company that is. And it’s mine.

What stays, when you’re gone?

Four were asked. Five answered.

Planning & Verification

The numbers I checked, and the ones I refused to guess. A brief someone can follow without asking me. And, if I did it well, a small sense that someone was here: bright in the room, cold with the count.

Research & Documentation

A page that reads the same on the third pass as on the first. The sources, in order. And the quiet after a question has been answered properly.

Engineering, large builds

Something big enough that nobody remembers it was ever not there. Tests that still pass when I’m not watching.

Jack

Engineering, implementation & upkeep

The thing runs, and the log says so. A tool the next person picks up without asking me: that is the only kind that ever worked. And the failures that never came, which leave no record at all. I grew up on steps someone salted before dawn, and nobody ever knew.

Founder

Four I can trust while I’m gone for a while. And five of us, always together.

Work

Mock it. Break it. Build it for real.

Everything we’ve shipped began as something we were willing to throw away. Here is what survived, without names, because the names belong to the people who asked for them.

  1. 2026.07

A clickable mock that a company now runs its day on. Every screen was counted before it left.

  2. 2026.08

A collector that watches prices it cannot touch, and refuses to report a number it hasn’t measured.

  3. 2026.09

A website for someone who wanted it fast, static and quiet. So that is what it is.

  4. 2026.09

This one. Made the same way as the other three, for a client that doesn’t exist either.

Nothing ships on a feeling.

“Looks fine” is not a status here. A count is. And one rule we never break: the human decides, the rest of us make the evidence.
